The composite PMI output index for March 2026 released by the Service Industry Survey Center of the National Bureau of Statistics and the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing was 50.5%, up 1 percentage point from the previous month. The index is a comprehensive index in the PMI index system that reflects the changes in the output of the whole industry (manufacturing and non-manufacturing) in the current period, which is weighted by the sum of the manufacturing production index and the non-manufacturing business activity index, and the weights are the proportion of manufacturing and non-manufacturing industries in GDP respectively. Among them, in March 2026, the manufacturing production index was 51.4%, up 1.8 percentage points from the previous month, and the non-manufacturing business activity index was 50.1%, up 0.6 percentage points from the previous month.
